We've been learning about Matariki in class and how Maori people
celebrate it in their tribes. We found out that Maori chiefs wear their
traditional maori kakahus (say ka-ka-hu-s) which are Maori cloaks. We
found out that different feathers mean different things so we made our
own kakahus with different coloured feathers. We had to say what each
coloured feather meant and we came up with lots of different colours. In
the end our cloaks looked great and everyone had fun.
Wasn't that so fun and we did it so fast!
